They joined 782 runners on the undulating multi terrain course from the Yorkshire Show Ground.  Groups of runners set off in socially distanced groups of 13 at 15 second intervals, with the results being decided by chipped timing.

This was Carole’s first competitive race since May 2018, a three year wait due to a long term hamstring injury.  David last raced in the Trimpell 20 in March 2020. 

David’s lack of race fitness told with a time of 54.40, but he was pleased to have got a time under his belt to improve on this year.  Carole was delighted to finish in 1.02.06 and now has a sub 1 hour time in her sights.

David and Carole smiled at the finish and said “Lancaster and Morecambe AC are back in business”
