At the Blackpool Air Show 10k first back for the club was Michael Roy, with a good effort of 44m.06 rewarding him with 64th position of almost 250. Steve Perry was next running well in 47m.14 for 96th and he was followed by grand-daughter Shannon who ran a good 58m.05.
At Scorton Supper Run there were 99 finishers, leading the way for Lancaster was Louise Goddard with a great run of 35m.07 placing her fourth woman and first veteran 50. Chasing Louise to the line was David Wilkinson taking 16th position with a fine run of 35m.10, followed by Ade Goddard in 36m.50 in 20th. Other finishers: Carole Wilkinson 39m.07 and Lee Marshall 42m.41.
Mark Leadbetter finished well up the field at the Staveley 10k, taking sixth place out of 110 with a super run of 37m.35 on the undulating course. Lauren Gora ran strongly in 44m.13 to finish 29th, followed by David Wilkinson with a good run of 49m.53. Other finishers: Patrick Corbett 50m.02, Emily Stapleton 53m.03, Carole Wilkinson 57m.02 and Linda Stapleton 1h.09.42.
The Lancaster 3-1-5 Health Club 5km continues to attract runners looking for a good time on the flat and fast course. At the latest edition in the series first for the club was Jayne Perry with a cracking effort of 20m.41 earning her third women's prize and 36th place overall. In 46th was Emily Stapleton running well in 24m.17 and Karen Davies in 30m.18. Other finishers: Linda Stapleton 31m.35 and Richard Stapleton 37m.16.
The Lancaster Riverside 10 mile had over 250 runners taking part and Mark Leadbetter once again led the way for the club. Mark ran an excellent time of 58m.04 to finish in eighth position. Next was Paul Mackie finishing 59th with a fine run of 1h.11.46 and in 120th Emily Stapleton ran a great time of 1h.22.55. Super veteran Evelyn Elkington was first veteran 80 with a superb 1h.53.10. There was one Lancaster runner in the fun run; Euan Clear ran well to finish fourth in 10m.13.
The Hoad Hill 10k in Ulverston had almost 200 runners and Kieran Rowlands finished well up the field in seventh place overall with a fantastic effort of 35m.06. Back in action again were Emily Stapleton in 52m.41, Linda Stapleton 1h.01.14 and Evelyn Elkington taking first veteran 80 spot in 1h.08.02.
The Lancaster Riverside half-marathon had one Lancaster runner taking part; David Brown worked his way through the field to finish in 14th place out of 126 with a good run of 1h.28.24.
At the latest in the summer Pilling 10k series there were two Lancaster & Morecambe AC runners in action. Samuel Kellet ran a good time of 45m.36 to finish 22nd and in 45th place was Carole Wilkinson running well in 54m.50.
The sole club runner at the Great Eccleston Flat 4 Miler was Lauren Gora, who had a cracking run to claim first women's position with an excellent time of 25m.42 and this placed her well up the field in 10th place overall.
