He was much loved by club and fellow members and was often down supporting the club on training nights.
He joined Primrose Harriers in 1949 which eventually in 1965 amalgamated with Lunesdale Athletic Club in 1965 to become Lancaster & Morecambe AC.
In 2015 he took part in the club 50th anniversary event and was joined by members young and old when he completed the 50th lap of the track to celebrate 50 years with Lancaster & Morecambe AC
Arnold left a legacy for the club in his will which not only helps secure our financial position but also gives us the opportunity to improve the facilities for our exisiting and new members
To remember Arnold, the club has introduced the Arnold Bibby award for junior and senior members.
This will be awarded at end of each year to a member who has contributed to Lancaster & Morecambe AC over the year, be it by performance or volunteering in club activities.
The recipients each year will ultimately be decided by the coaches and club committee in December of each year.
