Mid Lancs league presentation

Representatives of Lancaster & Morecambe AC attended the end of season Mid Lancs Cross Country presentation ceremony at the Catholic Club in Bamber Bridge on Friday April 13th. After a very successful season, the Women’s team were very pleased to pick up the trophy for winning the gold medal and trophy for Division 1 for the first time.

The team of Joanne Taylor, Lauren Gora, Laura Gardner, Louise Goddard and Helen Booth had a fantastic season and this was a just reward for their excellent performances.

The Men’s team were placed second in Division 2, with exactly the same number of points as the winning team, Wigan Phoenix. There were strong performances throughout the season from the Junior Men - Beau Smith, Callum Mason, Adam Bateson and Paul Hodgson as well as the more seasoned athletes Steven Worthington, Peter Twigg, Richard Partington, Graham Hodgson, Lee Parrington, John Spooner, David Brown, Mike Peat, Jack Husband and Mick Leck.

This team will now be promoted to Division 1 for the next season.

In the photo, Jack Husband is collecting the silver medal awards from the Chairman of the Mid Lancs league.

Completing the trio of awards was Mary Hodgson whose fine runs throughout the season led to her award of the bronze medal for the U15 Girls.
