Lancaster and Morecambe AC Cross Country Newsletter 12 2009/2010

1. Congratulations to everyone who ran at the North of England XC Championships. A full report can now be viewed on the club website at www.lancasterathletics.co.uk.

2. Mid Lancs Saturday 13^th February 2010

The next Mid Lancs fixture is at Wilson Playing Fields, Hynburn on Saturday 13^th February 2010. Once again if you are intending running at Hynburn it would help if you let me know –we have had some good team results in some age groups and it would be great to win some more team awards this year. The current team successes are as follows:-

U13 Girls currently 5^th – 4 girls need to do at least 1 of the final 2 fixtures – As a minimum please would S Bell, N Hegary, E Sears and J McCracken confirm whether they are running at Hynburn

U13 Boys currently 7^th – 4 boys need to do both of the final fixtures – Would J Ingram, P McGuinness, B Roberts and R Scott confirm whether they are running at Hynburn

U15 Girls currently 3rd – 4 girls need to do at least 1 of the final 2 fixtures – As a minimum please would C Bell, P Clinton, H Fleet and A Tidswell confirm whether they are running at Hynburn

U17 Men currently 1^st – A team at the remaining fixtures may prevent challenge from Liverpool Pembroke & Sefton AC – As a minimum please would C Mason, A Bateson and B Smith confirm whether they are running at Hynburn

U20 Men currently 1^st – 3 men need to do at least 1 of the final 2 fixtures – As a minimum please would J Modley, D Brown and J Harris confirm whether they are running at Hynburn

Senior Women currently 2^nd – A team at the remaining fixtures may lead to gold –

Senior Men currently equal 1st– A team at the remaining fixtures may prevent a challenge from Preston Harriers

V40 Men currently 2^nd – A team at the remaining fixtures may lead to a gold.

V50 Men currently 8^th – team at the remaining fixtures may lead to a bronze.

I will not be at Hynburn so if you wish to have a club base someone will need to contact me to take the club tent –no volunteer –no tent. If someone is prepared to do a report for the press and the website –please contact me.

3. National Cross Country Championships Saturday 27^th February 2010

Entries are now closed however coach tickets at £6.50/seat are still available.

Please check the notice board in the club house for updates on cross country fixtures particularly the upcoming National Championships and current standing in the Club Cross Country Club Championships.
