As the Sportshall season draws to a close for 2018-19,

Lancaster and Morecambe can reflect on a successful year. For a small squad, they have achieved many placings in a number of events, as well as PBs across the board. The team ended on 270 points – a great effort!
Over the season, there have been many individual successes:
Kyran Kouacou has led the way with a trio of victories in the 1-lap race, as well as first places in long jump and triple jump. Kyran was very close to being athlete of the match on all three occasions.
Erin Gillan won the long jump with Willow Westwell placing highly in this, as well as the 2 lap race. Isla Roberts finished in the top three in triple jump, as did Freddie Gittins. Lottie Mason scored highly in 1 lap and speed bounce and Layla Westwell was able to score consistently in the U13s competition.
Mentions also go to Demi Hanafin, Neve Gillan and Bella Gittins for achieving a number of personal bests over the year (the last two being Y4 athletes competing against much older children). Zac and Amelie Earnshaw also represented the club with distinction.
Well done to all the athletes and thank you to the parents who transported them to Blackpool early on Sunday mornings.
