The day started with the 100m on the track where PBs came from Henry Connolly (U17m) with a time of 13.1. First performances came from Tobias Swarbrick (U13B) in the 100m with a time of 14.8 and Libby Elliot (U13G) with a time of 16.9. Next on the track came the 800m where Jack Newton (U13B) got a PB of 2:47.3 beating his previous PB by just under 6 seconds.
Kirsty Hamilton (U15G) got a PB of 2:35.1 and a stand out performance came from (U15B) James Stanley who got 2:06.2 and a Grade 1 performance. In the 1500m, William Pyle (U15B) came second in his race with a PB of 4:51.9 and Tobias Swarbrick (U13B) got another First Performance of 5:25.8. After the middle-distance races, the 200m came. More personal bests came rolling in. they came from Jack Garwood (U15B) with a time of 29.0 and Eddie Gill (U13B) with a time of 29.9. First Performances came from competition debutants Abby Macpherson (U15G) getting a time of 30.3 and Tobias Swarbrick coming in at 32.3 seconds.
The track evets concluded with the 4 x 100m relays where both our U15 Boys & Girls team ran very well with times of 57.0 and 60.9 respectively. Onto the field events and a variety of talent was shown from our athletes. Eddie Gill beat his Shot Putt getting a new one of 7.62m. Candice Craven also shone in the Shot Putt getting a score of 8.56m beating her old PB by just under 1 metre. Libby Elliot got a new PB in the High Jump with a score of 1.15m and Abby Macpherson got a First Performance in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.39m. Well done to all athletes.
