I'm an ex-sprinter turned coach from LMAC, dedicated to doing my all to deliver the most beneficial and enjoyable sessions for our athletes here at LMAC. Although I started sprinting later than most, my attitude towards the discipline has never been less than giving 100% each session. We build a great repour with our athletes down at the club, and use that to build confidence which translates to confidence on the track.
I have been coaching at LMAC for 4 years now and enjoy every session as much as the first, I am fortunate to have a fantastic group which just seems to be growing.
I've been working with children as young as 7 all the way up to young adults at the age of 18 within schools for the previous 6 years, and over that time I have learned a variety of ways of getting the most from those I mentor. This may come from differentiating our sessions if one of our athletes has a specific need which must be met, to grouping our sprinters effectively to get the best from them.
I am a level 2 Athletic Coach and am always keen on CPD and looking to better my knowledge. I attended a regional workshop in sportcity, focusing on speed and hurdles. Usually, if there is something which an athlete is unsure of, between myself and Luke we can find an answer.
I feel very proud to coach down at Lancaster & Morecambe AC, there is fantastic potential throughout the whole club, and I'm very lucky to have such a fantastic group of athletes to work with twice a week.
