I am a dedicated track and field coach delivering performance coaching to athletes competing in combined events and individual track and field disciplines for Lancaster and Morecambe Athletics Club and Lancaster University Track and Field Team.
My experience spans more than 15 years, during which I have developed to become a Level Three Performance Coach in Combined events, which I achieved in 2008. I have coached athletes from 11 years upwards, with a wide range of abilities, with an emphasis on maximising their enjoyment, confidence and helping them to achieve results of which they are proud.
I have a good record of team working with my fellow coaches and have a proven ability to motivate athletes of all ages and abilities, so they become more confident and perform above their expected levels.
I am committed to continuing personal development and have completed such formal events as the North West High Jump Initiative, run by Mike Holmes, (at that time the National High Jump Coach), several pole vault sessions at Preston and Carlisle, and the England Athletics long jump/triple jump event at Blackpool. However, I also develop my skills by working with athletes on problems and improvements using reference material, internet information and by consulting with other coaches.
I am very proud to be an athletics coach.
